SEMINAR AT THE EVE OF WORLD DAY ON HEALTH & SAFETY AT WORK

International Labor Organization (ILO) celebrates the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on the 28 April to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally. It is an awareness-raising campaign intended to focus international attention on emerging trends in the field of occupational safety and health and on the magnitude of work-related injuries, diseases and fatalities worldwide.

The theme for 2014 is “Prevention of Chemical Hazards”

On this occasion, PSSHMC Hospital RWD has arranged a seminar to create awareness on Occupational Diseases-Prevention & management, among management and industrial workers of the catchment area.

An awareness session will be held on April 29, 2014 from12:00 Noon to 2:00Pm.Renowned Physicians and Public Health specialists will deliver informative and useful lectures on this subject. 

WORLD IMMUNIZATION WEEK 2014

World Immunization Week – celebrated in the last week of April (24-30) - aims to promote one of the world’s most powerful tools for health – the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease.

The theme for 2014 is “Are you up-to-date?”

PSSHMC Hospital RWD has scheduled an awareness campaign during forthcoming World Immunization Week 2014. It includes

• Awareness Sessions and Walk on vaccine preventable diseases
• Health education among masses about Vaccine schedules through lectures, slide and multi media presentations
• Group discussions
• Distribution of awareness leaflets
